- I've got a Prometheus Home Office 144i internal modem in my Macintosh
- PowerBook 170. I want to hear from others who have this modem in their
- PowerBook 140-180 computers. What init string do you use?
-
- I have experienced problems with it's reset delay. When I try to get it to
- dial the first time, it is several seconds (10?) before it will. If retry
- several times consecutively, after each attempt, it takes a few seconds
- before it will attempt again; it's unresponsive for about 5 secs.
- Prometheus seems a might clueless; they suggest one or two strings, one
- which locks up the modem, the other which does no better than mine, then
- throw up their corporate hands.
-
- Any help gratefully accepted.
-
- Thanks.
-
- Enjoy,
- Dave
